Pastor’s Message

Grace and Peace Mt. Zion Family and Friends:

Last year was our 125th year, The LORD is providing us with a time to reflect on our history, our ministry, our community, our leadership, our successes, and failures.  To everything, there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven (Ecclesiastes 3:1).  I am both honored and challenged to serve as Pastor at this exciting and challenging time.  I am constantly reminded that change is bombarding all of us each and every day.  Are we ready, willing, and equipped to address the great needs that surround us?  One thing is for certain in the midst of transition.  Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).  We can remain confident that He will faithfully transition us from our past to our present and to our glorious future.

In 2 Kings 20:1, the prophet Isaiah directed King Hezekiah to “Set your house in order.”  All of us can embrace this command as we make our transition from our earthly existence to our heavenly home.  Let us take the time to examine ourselves and what we are responsible for and consciously make the decision to please the Lord.  Seek His will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. (Proverbs 3:6)  Mt. Zion I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
