O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down
and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend
my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways.
There are times in our lives when we are fearful of being known by others
in all of our complexities and faults. Why? Others can’t seem to handle our story.
This is why we often share only the good and pleasant parts of ourselves with
others. We fear rejection because our thoughts are sometimes wicked and the
paths we choose to take can be sinful or unwise. Thank you, Jesus, for searching
and knowing me and loving me just the same in all of my mess.
So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.
Thank you for knowing me and loving me with all of my frailties.
Thank you for not wanting me to stay the same.
In Jesus Name, Amen.
