Galatians 5:16 ESV

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires

of the flesh.

Relying fully on God for guidance and direction saves us time, effort

and frustration. Seeking Him and being responsive to what He tells us,

adds to our faith and helps us to avoid carrying out our sinful

desires. Think about the times that you argued with the GPS in your

car and took another route. Then recall running into roadblocks

and heavy traffic that you couldn’t foresee. It would have been so

much better if we paid attention to the Holy Spirit who leads us

into all truth and won’t steer us wrong.

Heavenly Father:

Help us to live lives directed by the Spirit and forsake

the desires of our flesh.
