Rehearsal for the Senior Choir will be on Tuesday, October 31st @ 7pm. 

Men’s Ministry will meet on Saturday, October 28th @ 10:00 am

The Women’s Ministry will hold their 2024 officer elections after worship service on Sunday, October 29th in the Chapel.  All women of Mt. Zion are encouraged to participate in the election activities.  If you have any questions or would like information on the officer positions, please contact Sis Paula Powers-Watts.

Rev. Dr. Constance Dorsey will be one of the 2023 Award Recipients at Philadelphia Baptist Association’s Annual Mission Banquet.  The event will be held on Saturday, November 11th at Drexelbrook Catering, Drexel Hill, PA beginning at 11:30 am.  The donation for banquet tickets is $45.00 per person/$25.00 for children 12 and under.  If you would like to attend, give your name to Sis. Patricia Williams or Sis. Patricia Jackson.  The deadline for registration and payment is today, October 22nd.

Mount Zion Disciples, the Media Ministry would like to get the word out about events that happen at Mount Zion. We are looking for great photographers, who take pictures at ministry events to share them with the Media Ministry so that they may be posted on our Facebook page and website. If you take pictures at your events, please forward them to media@mountzionbaptist.org. We thank you for your assistance.

There are two seats available for COPEL’s trip on November 15th to hear “The Sounds of Philadelphia”.  If interested, contact Sis. Norma Avery or Sis. Kathy Harris. 

tThe forms for 2024 Church Officers have been placed in Ministry Mailboxes. They are due back to the church clerks by November 19th.

tRomans 8:28: “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose” The Budget Committee (Church Treasurer Tracy Reviere, Deacon Jesse Rauls, and Trustees Walter Early and Kimberly Moody) is requesting all Ministry Leaders complete a Budget Request Form for proposed planned events for the upcoming 2024 Budget Year. To allow Ministries time to meet and discuss future events, the Budget Committee is requesting that all completed requests forms be submitted no later than: NOVEMBER 5, 2023. Budget requests forms have been placed in all Ministry mailboxes and also emailed to all Ministry leaders who have an email address on file. Completed forms can be placed in the Treasurer’s mailbox or emailed to: Treasurer@mountzionbaptist.org

tA wonderful job opportunity is available here at our church.  The position of Church Clerk is now being re-opened.   We realize the job may seem overwhelming, so we are adding a new assistant position to help lighten the load.  If you would like to be considered for either the full-time or the part-time position, please submit an email of interest to Trustee Sharon Woodridge or Trustee Karen Nichols @ Trustee@mountzionbaptist.org  Contact the church clerks for more information.  Please reach out by November 1st
